...and just like that i'm inspired!

i really have been feeling so blah lately about fashion. maybe its the season or these 5 lbs that just hate me so much. whatever it is, it has had me in a real fashion funk these last few weeks. needless to say i needed a pick me up something serious. lo and behold my muse has saved the day. this amazing pic of the birthday girl, ms. kerry washington has me saying all types of "yessss" and "get it girl". she looks effortlessly chic in this bold and electifying blue. clearly 5 lbs do not hate her, because her body looks so hot (no homo). i just love her, and i love this pic and i doubly love that she has a new series coming to ABC in april!

happy birthday to me!!

i love birthdays!! i may not like to admit that i am actually turning another year older but i love the celebration of life nonetheless. yesterday was my 30-something birthday, yaay me!! this year i opted for a laid back and quiet weekend...i think this made the hubby a little nervous though. seemed like he wasn't sure if i was up to a jedi mind trick where i was saying laid back but i really wanted party party and was testing him to see what he would plan on his own LOL. naaaah not a chance, this time anyway!

boots, frocks and lips...oh my!

i'm almost embarrassed to say, but i did absolutely no black friday or cyber monday shopping *gasp*. i know, hard to believe right? it was just one of those weekends, you know? so what better way to redeem myself than with some good ole tuesday morning obsessions! today my little heart is doing back flips for the following items:

1. my new hunter wellies - totally love these durable boots and when i came across the pretty violet color i hurried and put them in my cart before i could think twice. i can't wait to also purchase my inserts and get some wear out of these beauties this winter. i foresee some puddle splashing in my future!
