steve harvey's women collection

this morning just did not go as planned. my state of exhaustion coupled with our naughty pup #pinot just had me moving extra slow and i did not head out of the door until after 8 am for work. but on the bright side, i was able to catch some of the steve harvey morning show as i drove to the office. this morning steve announced his new women's clothing line that will be available exclusively at K&G Fashion Superstore beginning August 21st. the line will have sizes as small as an 8 and then a 4 beginning with the Spring collection. color blocking and animal print are apparently the "theme" of this fall line that was revealed this past weekend in Las Vegas.

earlier this week Kimye were spotted at Paris Fashion week in matching black and white ensembles. while Kanye was definitely looking fresh in head to toe black, its Kim K's fabulousness that we're concerned with here. the sexy high slit of this Stéphane Rolland Spring 2012 Couture Blac Dress is everything right now! i absolutely love the silhouettes and eye-catching designs of Stéphane Rolland, Lady Gaga tends to be fond of his gowns and even Solange has been seen on the red carpet in his designs recently. Kim K paired her  dress with the UnBout Louboutin pumps and had a scalloping alteration done to the hemline.

weekend recap: the frock i rocked

 this past weekend turned out to be much more laid back than i had anticipated. saturday and sunday were spent doing chores around the house and finishing seasons 1 and 2 of the wire. the highlight though was my great friday date night with the hubby! SB: it was suggested that since i get to be "the dress junkie", i should give D a creative name as well...any suggestions? let me know!

so back to date night, we attended the Ledisi, Chrisette Michelle and Eric Benet concert at Pier 6. I was extremely excited about Ledisi and Chrissette and only so so about Eric B. Unfortunately we missed Chrisette's performance but Ledisi definitely made up for it. she was an amazing and extremely entertaining performer, so much energy and spunk...and her voice is just bigger than life. despite still being about 97 degrees at 9 pm at night we forgot all about the sweat dripping from us and had a really great time. after the concert we had dinner at one of our favorite spots Talara. Lucky for us we just missed the crazy storm and were able to wait out the rain until it was safe to go home.
